We are excited to offer 15 athletic teams at Southside. We believe athletics provide a well-rounded experience for our student athletes. We offer the following sports:
Fall: Cross-Country, Football, Soccer (Girls), and Volleyball
Winter: Cheer, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling
Spring: Baseball, Bowling, Softball, Soccer (Boys), Track & Field, Tennis, and Golf
Athletic Forms
These forms must be completed and given to the appropriate coach prior to tryouts, no exceptions.
** Please Note: The dates are for the 2023-2024 school year.
•Physicals must be dated after April 15, 2023 and are good through 2023-2024 school year.
•Physicals dated after April 15, 2023 are good until August 1, 2023, these physicals are good for summer tryouts and practices only.
Concussion Form - Return to Play Form - This form is only needed if student is returning after a concussion.

Wilson County Driver Procedures
**PLEASE NOTE** Parents must re-apply each year. Once approved, your application is valid from July 1st through June 30th.
Parent Drivers
A parent driver is a non-employee parent chaperone that will be transporting students for field trips, athletic events, or other school activities. To be approved to transport students, the parent driver MUST:
Go to Raptor Site to obtain a background clearance through Raptor at a cost of $5.00 that you will pay thru the website. Next complete the background clearance steps. You will need a copy of the following to upload into Raptor:

- Permission to Use Personal Vehicle Form and Background Privacy Information Form, Click here for the Permission to use Personal Vehicle Form and Background Privacy Information Form (please print forms, fill out and upload to the Raptor Site)
- Copy of Valid Driver’s License
- Copy of Auto Insurance Certificate indicating limits of at least 100,000/300,000,50,000.
Driver approvals will be submitted to the school principal to disseminate to the appropriate Athletic Director, Coach, and/or Club Sponsor.
Employee Drivers
An employee driver is an active Wilson County School’s employee that will be transporting students for field trips, athletic events, or other school activities. To be approved to transport students, the employee driver MUST:
Go to Raptor Site to obtain a background clearance through Raptor. Make sure on Step 4 (Functions) to check the box “Employee Driver”. Next complete the background clearance steps, and you will need a copy of the following to upload into Raptor:
